Designed for pilots who want the fun of camping under the stars and 300 yards from an active runway, but would prefer to escape the noise of Oshkosh and get a good night’s sleep.

Benefits of Flying Into and Camping at the Appleton Flight Center

  • Easily fly in and out – no parking reservations needed
  • Free daily shuttle service from 7am to 8pm every other hour to EAA Oshkosh
  • More than enough hard surface parking for all twins and larger planes. Smaller single-engine planes will be directed to grass parking ($25 flat rate)
  • Transportation from your aircraft to Appleton Flight Center for both your arrival & departure
  • Prices for the ramp are the same year-round – no EAA AirVenture extra fees.
  • Less than five miles from charming downtown Appleton restaurants and bars, seven minutes to Walmart and Fox River Mall 
  • Easy access to rental cars, Uber, or Lyft
  • Shower facilities and charging station for electronic devices
  • US Customs & Border Protection facility for international arrivals

 Aircraft Camping Information

EAA Airventure is located only 20 miles from Appleton Flight Center and the Appleton International Airport (ATW). Choose Appleton Flight Center for an easy in and out at your convenience in attending the week-long event.

  • Flat rate of $25 for all grass parking
  • Camping is $30 a day
  • Can accommodate 100s of aircraft – large or small
  • Prices for the ramp are the same year-round – no EAA AirVenture extra fees
  • Tie-downs are required for grass parking aircraft

Camping Reservations

EAA AirVenture 2021 will be held July 26th through August 1st.

  • A reservation is required for camping aircraft only. We will require a credit card on file for all aircraft staying with us the week of AirVenture.
